Strategy & Operations Manager
Job Summary
This Strategy & Operations Manager role at NetApp is responsible for driving strategic planning and execution within the Data Resilience & Security business unit. This role involves collaborating cross-functionally to define and manage organization-level strategic initiatives to ensure successful execution. This role requires a strong emphasis on being data-driven, i.e. making informed decisions based on data and insights, and taking ownership, i.e. driving accountability, and delivering results that contribute to the success of the BU and the company. The position offers significant exposure to senior executives and is a pathway to advanced roles in business operations and product management.

Responsibilities:
- Take up complex, ambiguous business problems in the data services business unit, and design effective solutions through data collection and analysis.
- Build strategic and analytical narratives, synthesize recommendations, and communicate them through high-quality presentations and documentation.
- Communicate recommendations to executives and build consensus.
- Work closely with product management, engineering, program management, and cross-company teams to drive end-to-end implementation of projects.
- Manage project risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for strategic initiatives.
Job Requirements
Must have:
- 10 years of experience in management consulting, business operations, or business strategy in the tech industry.
- 10 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
- Direct experience in designing and running business and strategic reviews.
- Direct experience in designing OKRs, critical user journeys, and customer funnel analysis in a tech product environment.
- Proven structured problem-solving skills.
- Strong ability to operate in a quickly evolving environment.
- Strong data analysis skills using tools like spreadsheets and functional dashboards.
- Strong collaboration, exceptional verbal communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written communication skills including writing proposals and presentation/deck-building.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in the storage industry.
- Familiarity with data protection and governance strategies.
- Experience with software/SaaS GTM.
- Understanding of Cloud marketplace operations.
Education
- Master's degree or Bachelor's and equivalent additional work experience
- MBA or STEM major preferred
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $175,000-220,000. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
