Job Summary
The Oracle CPQ Consultant / Developer is responsible for designing, configuring, developing, and supporting Oracle CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) solutions to enable complex product configurations, pricing, quoting, and ordering processes. This role partners closely with Sales, Commerce, IT, and ERP/CRM teams to deliver scalable, performant, and compliant quote‑to‑order solutions.
Job Requirements
Oracle CPQ Configuration & Development
• Configure product models, attributes, rules, constraints, and validation logic within Oracle CPQ
• Develop BML (BigMachines Language) scripts for:
o Advanced pricing and discount logic
o Defaulting and validation rules
o Commerce actions (before/after formula)
• Build and maintain Commerce rules (validation, hide, filter, constraint rules)
Pricing, Quoting & Documents
• Implement complex pricing models, including:
o Volume based pricing
o Promotional pricing
o Discount thresholds and approvals
• Design and customize Document Designer templates (quotes, proposals, order forms)
• Configure XSL / PDF outputs for customer ready quote documents
Integrations
• Integrate Oracle CPQ with upstream and downstream systems such as:
o CRM (e.g., Salesforce)
o ERP / Order Management systems
o External services via REST / APIs / OIC
• Support quote to order data flow including:
o Accounts, products, pricing, orders, and attachments
Environment & Release Management
• Support CPQ environments (Dev, SIT, UAT, Pre Prod, Prod)
• Participate in Oracle CPQ quarterly upgrades and regression testing
• Follow CPQ development standards and naming conventions to ensure performance and maintainability
Testing & Support
• Perform unit testing, system testing, and UAT support
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis
• Collaborate with business users to refine requirements and enhancements
Education
Technical Skills
• Strong hands on experience with Oracle CPQ Cloud
• Proficiency in BML (BigMachines Language)
• Experience with:
o Pricing rules and discount logic
o Commerce actions and layouts
o Document Designer & XSL
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML
• Understanding of Quote to Cash / Quote to Order processes
Functional & Business Skills
• Experience working with Sales, Pricing, Finance, and Operations teams
• Strong understanding of enterprise commerce workflows
• Ability to translate business requirements into CPQ solutions
Preferred / Nice to Have
• Oracle CPQ Implementation Specialist Certification
• Experience with ERP (Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP, etc.)
• Experience with CRM integrations
• Exposure to CI/CD or version control for CPQ assets
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
