Job Summary

NetApp, recognized as one of the top workplaces, presents an exciting opportunity for Professional Services Engineer 3 with our Global Services and Solution Center. We provide solution consulting and post-sales technical expertise for the automation to orchestrate NetApp products and infrastructure management. The engineer may be involved in translating business processes into automated tasks, as well as deploying automation tools and tasks into customers’ environments, ensuring integration with existing infrastructure. The engineer might need provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on automation design and implementation. 

Job Requirements

o   Proficiency with Python and PowerShell scripting languages is must.

o   Proficiency in working with REST APIs is must.

o   Proficiency in one of the infrastructure management tools Ansible or Terraform is must and knowledge on other is required.

o   Knowledge with Bash scripting would be an added advantage.

o   Knowledge with Structure and Non-Structured Databases is required.

o   Infrastructure knowledge and experience with Storage and/or Cloud is required.

o   Good Knowledge and experience with NetApp ONTAP systems is must.

o   Experience in Agile/Scrum process for DevOps deliveries is required.

o   Knowledge with tools like Azure DevOps, Confluence, Jira and GitHub would be an added advantage.

o   Demonstrate the ability to take ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks.

o   Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential and are utilized in communicating with team members and managers.

o   Exhibit strong collaboration skills when working with team members and managers in a team environment to share best practices and meet aggressive goals and meet high quality standards.

o   Have a strong understanding of customer environment architecture and its impact on project planning and execution with a customer-centric approach.

o   Excellent collaboration skills when engaging with customers' technical representatives in diverse situations, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of customer expectations and effectively meeting them.

o   Capable of providing ad-hoc knowledge transfer and delivering organized demonstrations of our methodologies to train customers.

o   Able to self-manage engagements, lead and delegate different functions within a project to ensure customer success.

Education

Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, and preferably 8-10 years; or 7-9 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with relevant professional experience; or equivalent combination of professional education/training and applicable work experience.
