Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated, self‑driven DevOps Engineer to join the Virtualization Engineering team. This role focuses on building and operating enterprise‑grade Devops pipelines and lab infrastructure that support scalable, on‑prem and cloud‑native VM lifecycle management solutions.As an Software engineer 3, you will design, build, and operate reliable Devops platforms that enable engineering teams to deliver secure, high‑quality software at scale. You are expected to work independently on well‑defined problem areas, collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, and drive operational excellence.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain Devops pipelines that enforce structured development workflows and ensure branch and build stability.
  • Manage and optimize build systems for efficient compilation, packaging, and artifact management across multiple products.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of Devops pipelines; respond with urgency to pipeline failures and service disruptions.
  • Continuously improve pipeline performance, stability, and developer productivity.Integrate secure development practices into Devops pipelines, including vulnerability scanning and policy enforcement.
  • Explore and integrate AI‑assisted tools into Devops workflows with a focus on improving engineering efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure high availability and operational health of lab infrastructure supporting Devops and validation workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and pipeline issues across environments.Collaborate with platform, virtualization, and product teams to support end‑to‑end delivery pipelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands‑on DevOps experience with:
  • Devops pipeline design and management
  • Shell scripting and Python
  • Jenkins and/or Zuul
  • Hands-on experience in DevOps within microservices-based product architectures.
  • Hands‑on experience with Git/Bitbucket and JIRA as part of a structured development workflow.
  • Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes in build, test, or deployment pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and hypervisors such as KVM or Xen is preferred.
  • Solid problem‑solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve production issues.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional engineering environment.
  • Clear oral and written communication skills.Knowledge of storage concepts and protocols such as NFS and iSCSI.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4–6 years of relevant industry experience, or Master’s degree with 2–4 years of relevant industry experience.
