Job Summary

The Data Infrastructure Insights team is one of NetApp’s fastest moving teams. We provide a cloud-based service our customers use to manage and monitor their cloud and on-prem infrastructure. We are seeking Site Reliability Engineers to help us delight customers and improve and grow our service.

As a Data Infrastructure Insights SRE, you’ll have the opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies in a production setting. You’ll have broad responsibilities and the chance to develop your skills in many different areas. You’ll become an observability expert, helping us meet our service level objectives. You’ll play an important role in scaling systems sustainably through automation and evolving them by pushing for changes to improve reliability and velocity.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities :

  • Work with other SREs and developer teams to ensure maximum performance and reliability of services.
  • Analyze and improve latency, performance, and availability of services.
  • Resolve critical and high visibility customer issues.
  • Develop software, both as components of our solution and outside of the solution, for deployment automation, packaging, and monitoring visibility.
  • Work with other SREs on compliance process automation.  

Job Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and networking.
  • Strong experience in Linux system administration.
  • Scripting and automation with Python and AI-assisted coding tools.
  • Experience with AWS IaaS required; Azure IaaS is a plus.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Helm package manager.
  • Experience operating a cloud service infrastructure, including
    Scaling and high availability patterns
    Issue troubleshooting and resolution
    Monitoring
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools; Terraform strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and REST interfaces.
  • Experience in SaaS certifications such as SOC2 or ISO-27001 a plus

Education

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience is required. 8 to 11 years of experience is preferred
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a Master Degree, or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required
  • Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects
