Job Summary
NetApp is transforming how customers manage their data infrastructure through unified, AI-driven experiences. We're seeking an exceptional Senior Director of Product Management to lead our Bangalore-based manageability product team and drive the next generation of autonomous storage operations.
In this role, you'll lead product strategy and execution for NetApp's manageability platform, including AI-powered autonomous operations capabilities, hybrid multi-cloud control plane, and SaaS platform services. This is a high-impact leadership role partnering closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams globally to deliver experiences that eliminate operational complexity and delight customers
Job Requirements
Product Strategy & Execution:
- Define and drive product strategy for NetApp's manageability platform, including AI-powered autonomous operations, hybrid multi-cloud control plane, and SaaS infrastructure.
- Lead a product management team in Bangalore, building strong talent and establishing best practices.
- Manage the complete product lifecycle for AI/ML platform services, hybrid multi-cloud capabilities, SaaS/SRE infrastructure, and trial/demo environments.
- Develop roadmaps that balance customer requirements, competitive dynamics, and business priorities.
Platform Development:
- Build platform capabilities that enable AI-powered agents to work seamlessly across NetApp's portfolio.
- Deliver a hybrid multi-cloud control plane that manages NetApp infrastructure across on-premises, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments.
- Ensure platform services (IAM, security, observability) are scalable, reliable, and easy to integrate.
Customer & Market Engagement:
- Understand customer workflows, pain points, and requirements through research, advisory boards, and direct engagement.
- Translate customer insights into differentiated product experiences.
- Work with sales teams to enable customer conversations and represent NetApp's vision at industry events.
Team & Organization:
- Build and scale the product management organization in Bangalore.
- Establish effective collaboration across distributed, global teams.
- Partner with engineering leadership to maintain strong product-engineering alignment.
- Set standards for product management practices and execution.
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of product management experience in enterprise software, SaaS, or infrastructure products.
- 7+ years leading product management teams, including experience building and scaling teams.
- Proven track record of shipping successful enterprise products that customers love.
- Deep understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, SaaS platforms, and site reliability engineering principles.
- Experience with AI/ML technologies and agentic/autonomous systems.
- Strong technical acumen with ability to engage deeply with engineering teams on architecture and implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to influence at all levels, including executive leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in storage, data management, or infrastructure management domains.
- Background in building platform services or developer platforms.
- Experience managing services across multiple cloud providers.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and AIOps technologies.
- Track record of successful product launches in competitive markets.
- Experience managing global, distributed product teams.
- Understanding of enterprise sales processes and agile development methodologies.
