Senior Client Executive
Job Summary
The Federal Government Client Executive will play a crucial role in expanding in an existing territory and acquiring new business with the Government of Canada. By positioning NetApp's Solutions, Data Services and Support to meet evolving customer needs while maintaining positive on-going relationships to meet evolving customer needs. Additionally, they role includes collaborating with Channel Partners to manage sales activity within your assigned territory.
The role focuses on prospecting, developing business opportunities, crafting compelling proposals for presentation to customers, and securing business for NetApp. The Client Executive will leverage NetApp's major Business Units achieve and surpass sales performance goals. Success in this role will require excellent relationship-building, negotiating, and advanced value selling techniques.
The primary responsibilities of the Client Executive to work directly with the focused customers and prospects and provide value added solutions that help customer achieve their business goals.
Responsibilities include Use relationship management techniques to develop selling opportunities within your territory. Develop, manage, and grow a pipeline of sales opportunities directly and with key Channel Partners within your territory to expand sales revenues. Excell in communication, collaboration, and accountability with opportunities, coordinating with additional support resources as needed. Develop new contacts at various levels and buyer profiles (Cloud Architect, Application Developer, Chief Data Scientist, Chief Information Officer, etc.).

Primary Responsibilities
- Directly engage with focused customers and prospects to provide value-added solutions that help them achieve their business goals.
- Utilize relationship management techniques to develop and nurture selling opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Develop, manage, and grow a sales pipeline, working directly with key Channel Partners to expand sales revenues.
- Excel in communication, collaboration, and accountability, coordinating with additional support resources as needed.
- Develop new contacts at various levels and buyer profiles, including Cloud Architects, Application Developers, Chief Data Scientists, and Chief Information Officers.
Job Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communications skills in English, including presentation skills. (French Preferable)
- Ability to work collaboratively with employees within the department and across functions.
- Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems.
- Ability to convey information clearly and provide analysis as needed to help the customer make buying decisions.
- Maintain updated selling activity notes in NetApp’s customer resource management system, and accurately forecast business opportunities.(MEDDICC)
- Market knowledge of the Canadian Federal Government organization structure
- Understanding and functional awareness of the Federal Procurement Vehicles
- Ability to Travel when required.
Interaction
The Client Executive will effectively work with and influence senior internal personnel within the function, employees in other functions that support the sales effort, external partners, and have direct customer contact. Limited management supervision and direction will be provided, as the individual is expected to operate and drive results independently. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert and strongly influence sales team decisions and initiatives.
Qualifications
Typically requires 5 to 8 years selling comparable technologies.
Successful track record of selling into the Federal Government.
Storage Background Preferred
Ability to obtain a security clearance.
