Product Marketing Manager 4
Job Summary
Product Marketing Manager, Growth (Incubation Portfolio)
Role Overview
We’re seeking a strategic, AI-forward product marketer to join our team as a Product Marketing Manager, Growth. In this role, you will own messaging and go-to-market activation for a portfolio of emerging and recently acquired products, helping each one become part of how NetApp sells to its customers. You will work closely with NetApp’s sales teams and product marketing peers to turn positioning into the assets, campaigns, and sales plays that bring each product to market, measure what works, and share what you learn with marketing and sales leadership
What Success Looks Like
The successful candidate is adaptable, collaborative, and proactive, with strong judgment about where to focus. They are comfortable with ambiguity, work well with sales and product partners, and turn new products into clear messaging and programs that show what resonates with customers. They bring a strong sense of ownership to both strategy and execution, and the discipline to stop what isn’t working.
In the first six months, that looks like:
- Core sales and marketing assets for current products are refreshed, aligned with established messaging toolkits, and in sellers’ hands.
- At least one new campaign or sales play has launched with defined targets and agreed measures.
- Positioning, messaging, and a first campaign are in place for at least one recently acquired product.
- A clear readout of results has been delivered to marketing and sales leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Messaging and Content
- Research the buyers for each product, including where they overlap with the customers and teams NetApp already serves.
- Build stories that show how each product works alongside NetApp’s broader portfolio and why it matters to NetApp customers.
- Develop sales and marketing assets in line with established launch standards, messaging toolkits, and source materials, including presentations, solution briefs, seller guides, customer stories, and web content.
- Develop messaging for existing customers of acquired products, so continuity is clear during transitions.
Campaigns and Activation
- Plan and execute campaign activations end to end: landing pages, email, content offers, and in-product promotion.
- Develop and support webinars, workshops, event presentations, and customer and partner briefings.
- Design and run focused, time-bound sales plays with sales leaders for priority accounts and use cases, with an emphasis on creating pipeline.
- Deliver enablement with the sellers who will use it, and make sure campaign and play responses get followed up.
Routes to Market
- Support hyperscaler marketplace and cloud partner programs when strategically needed, including listing content, co-marketing, and co-selling materials.
- Adapt messaging and assets for channel and technology partners.
Measurement and Learning
- Agree on how each campaign and play will be measured before it launches, then track results, including whether NetApp account teams bring the product into their customer conversations.
- Report what’s working, what isn’t, and why, with a clear recommendation to continue, scale, or stop.
- Capture what each program teaches so the next one starts faster.
Job Requirements
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years in B2B technology marketing, including a significant track record in product marketing and hands-on experience in demand generation or digital marketing.
- Proven Product Marketing: Positioning, messaging, and sales assets you’ve created that sellers actually used.
- Digital Execution: Working knowledge of marketing automation, web publishing, and campaign analytics, enough to launch and read programs with streamlined operations support.
- Sales Partnership: Experience working directly with sales teams to create pipeline.
- Technical Fluency: Comfort with technical products and audiences, ideally in data infrastructure, data platforms, or AI.
- AI Tool Proficiency: An AI-native way of working: you use AI tools to research, draft, analyze, and move faster, and you can show how.
Preferred
- Experience marketing to developers, platform engineering teams, or data and AI leaders.
- Experience with open-source software or data technologies.
- Experience with hyperscaler marketplaces and co-selling with cloud partners.
- Experience bringing acquired or early-stage products to market inside a larger company.
