Job Summary

  • Partner Marketing at NetApp is a critical driver of growth, enabling routes to market through strategic partners to reach customers and accelerate pipeline. The Senior Partner Marketing Manager plays a key role in developing and executing joint marketing strategies that create awareness, demand, and revenue through the partner ecosystem.
  • In this role, you will collaborate closely with Sales, Corporate Marketing, and strategic channel partners to understand customer needs, market trends, and the evolving partner landscape. You will translate NetApp priorities into partner-aligned go-to-market programs that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • This is a highly strategic and cross-functional position responsible for owning a portfolio of key solution provider partners (VARs). The role includes managing day-to-day partner relationships, developing joint marketing plans, and ensuring alignment to shared growth objectives.
  • The ideal candidate is a proactive, strategic marketer with a strong track record of driving partner-led demand. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are comfortable navigating ambiguity, and bring creativity and structure to complex challenges. Success in this role is defined by maximizing the impact of marketing investments and delivering against pipeline and revenue targets.
  • This position reports to the Head of North America Partner Marketing and works closely with regional partner sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical joint marketing plans in partnership with assigned VARs and NetApp regional sales teams, aligning to corporate priorities and partner go-to-market strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partner marketing stakeholders; serve as the primary liaison between partners and NetApp Corporate Marketing
  • Drive alignment on key solution areas, campaigns, and demand generation programs to deliver measurable pipeline impact
  • Act as a trusted advisor across cross-functional teams, including Corporate Marketing, Field Marketing, Partner Sales, and Marketing Operations
  • Manage marketing priorities, ensuring effective optimization of available investments 
  • Monitor program performance, analyze results, and provide insights and reporting on marketing effectiveness and sales impact
  • Identify opportunities to scale successful programs and continuously improve partner marketing outcomes

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in partner/channel marketing in the high-tech industry, with direct engagement with VARs
  • Strong understanding of direct and indirect (channel) sales models, including partner business drivers and motivations
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically while driving hands-on execution
  • Experience managing multiple partner relationships and balancing competing priorities
  • Strong influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional and matrixed organizations
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and present actionable insights at an executive level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives from concept through execution
  • Willingness to travel (~5–10% within the U.S. and/or Canada)
  • Experience with large national partners such as WWT, CDW, or SHI 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in high-tech partner marketing strongly preferred
  • Sales or field experience in the IT sector is a plus
