Product Manager 5
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Media Product Manager to join our hardware team at NetApp. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development, launch, and lifecycle management of our media hardware products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure our products meet market demands and exceed customer expectations.
Job Responsibilities
- Product Development:
- Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for media hardware products.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs.
- Define product requirements and specifications based on market insights and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure timely and high-quality product development.
- Manage the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer value and business impact.
- Go-to-Market Planning:
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and pricing.
- Work with marketing and sales teams to create compelling product collateral, sales tools, and training materials.
- Drive product launches and coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure successful market entry.
- Customer Engagement:
- Engage with customers, partners, and industry experts to gather feedback and validate product concepts.
- Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, advocating for their needs and preferences.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns related to the product.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Track and analyze product performance metrics, including sales, market share, and customer feedback.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to achieve business objectives.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure product competitiveness.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 15+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the hardware or technology industry.
- Strong understanding of media hardware products and market dynamics.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products throughout their lifecycle.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
