Job Summary
As a Google Sales Specialist – South Korea, you will be responsible for building, scaling, and leading the Cloud Storage business for Google and NetApp, with a primary focus on Electronic Design Automation (EDA) workloads within the semiconductor industry.
This is a quota-carrying sales role with a strong business development mandate, requiring you to create new opportunities, develop markets, and establish long-term customer relationships in South Korea.
While EDA serves as the primary entry point and strategic focus, you will also expand into adjacent industries and high-value workloads where Cloud Storage and Google Cloud can drive transformation.

Essential Functions
You will collaborate cross-functionally with Google Cloud, partners, and engineering teams to:
- Drive new business creation with an EDA-first approach, using semiconductor workloads as the primary entry point into accounts
- Build, develop, and scale a sustainable pipeline of new opportunities across both EDA and adjacent segments
- Accelerate Google Cloud consumption via direct sales and indirect channels (Marketplace, ISVs, and partners)
- Position Google + NetApp Cloud Storage solutions for:
- High-performance EDA and HPC workloads
- Data-intensive and hybrid cloud environments
- Engage senior technical, engineering, and business stakeholders to shape demand and influence decision-making early in the sales cycle
- Continuously identify whitespace opportunities to expand beyond initial EDA wins into broader enterprise adoption
- Capture market insights to refine go-to-market strategies and influence product direction
Key Responsibilities
- Build and scale the South Korea business
- Develop and execute a territory and account strategy anchored in EDA but expanding into broader cloud and data opportunities
- Identify, create, and close new business opportunities (hunter mentality)
- Establish a strong foothold within key semiconductor accounts and expand footprint over time
- Own full sales lifecycle and pipeline creation
- Develop a robust, self-generated pipeline (not only partner-led)
- Manage complex sales cycles and deliver predictable, accurate forecasts
- Consistently exceed revenue and consumption targets
- Lead EDA-driven GTM motions
- Drive strategic deals around simulation, verification, and HPC workloads
- Position hybrid and cloud-native architectures to optimize performance and cost
- Act as a trusted advisor and business partner
- Engage C-level, engineering, and IT leaders
- Translate customer challenges into business-aligned cloud and data solutions
- Build long-term strategic relationships within accounts
- Drive ecosystem and partner engagement
- Collaborate with hyperscaler teams, ISVs (including EDA vendors), SIs, and channel partners
- Lead joint go-to-market initiatives to scale reach and impact
- Expand beyond EDA into broader opportunities
- Leverage initial wins to grow presence across additional workloads and industries
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities aligned to cloud, AI, and data strategies
Job Requirements (EDA + Business Builder Profile)
- 5+ years of experience selling into the South Korean market, with a strong preference for semiconductor, EDA, or high-tech industries
- Proven track record in building and scaling business
- Demonstrated success in new logo acquisition, pipeline creation, and market development
- Consistent achievement or overachievement of sales targets in complex environments
- Strong background in enterprise sales and business development
- Ability to identify, create, and close large, strategic deals
- Experience leading full sales cycles from prospecting to close
- Domain expertise in EDA, semiconductor, or HPC workloads, including:
- Design, simulation, and verification environments
- High-performance compute and storage requirements
- Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud):
- Application modernization, hybrid cloud, and migration strategies
- Data-intensive and AI-driven workloads
- Demonstrated success in partner-driven sales models
- Experience working with ISVs (ideally EDA vendors), SIs, and cloud ecosystem partners
- Understanding of Marketplace and ecosystem-led GTM strategies
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and highly competitive environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and execution
