Product Solutions Architect
Job Summary
Join NetApp’s CVO team as a Product Solutions Architect. Own strategic cloud workloads across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud—turn customer insight into product capabilities, lead previews to GA, and scale adoption with hands-on solutioning, tooling, and enablement.
The Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO) Product Solutions Architecture (PSA) team helps customers run business-critical workloads on the cloud with the resilience and efficiency of ONTAP. We drive growth for NetApp cloud storage by converting customer needs into product capabilities, validating solutions with early customers, and enabling the field to scale adoption. We’re looking for a Product Solutions Architect to accelerate CVO adoption across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. You’ll own strategic workload solutions end-to-end—shaping direction with product and engineering, incubating features through preview to GA, building tooling that removes friction, and enabling our field, partners, and customers to succeed. in this tole you will:
- Own workload solutions: Integrate CVO into hyperscaler-native architectures; lead the full lifecycle for strategic initiatives from discovery and validation through build, launch, and post-GA evaluation.
- Turn signals into roadmap: Translate customer and partner feedback (RFEs/FPVRs) into crisp PRFAQs and actionable backlog items; partner with engineering to scope, prioritize, and guide sprint execution.
- Incubate features & drive early growth: Run private/public previews, engage design partners, and prove value for capabilities like block datastores, freemium/agentless onboarding, marketplace flows, and AI/analytics integrations.
- Design for adoption at scale: Build and maintain tooling (licensing/trial automation, POC accelerators, performance sizers/TCO models) to reduce time-to-value and standardize best practices.
- Field & customer enablement: Author technical docs and solution guides; deliver deep-dive sessions and “train-the-trainer” programs for NetApp and hyperscaler field teams; present at global industry events.
- Customer & partner advocacy: Host advisory boards and office hours; act as a technical liaison for strategic escalations; partner closely within the hyperscaler ecosystem to align roadmaps and co-develop solutions.
- Data-driven outcomes: Define, track, and communicate KPIs (usage/adoption, cost/performance, revenue impact) and iterate based on learnings to improve product-market fit and business results.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work across product management, engineering, UX, support, marketing, sales, CSMs, professional services, and partner integrators; contribute to internal knowledge initiatives.
Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in building/operating solutions on at least one hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Strong full-stack awareness from data storage through applications and business processes: OS, networking, virtualization, security/governance, cost management/FinOps, analytics/AI/ML, and automation/IaC.
- Proven experience as a Cloud/Solutions Architect, Solution Engineer, Product Manager, or product-adjacent architecture role with a track record of solving complex storage problems and influencing product outcomes.
- Protocols & data management expertise (NFS/SMB/CIFS/iSCSI, RAID, snapshots, replication) and performance tuning for cloud workloads.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to articulate deep technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Customer obsession, bias for action, and ownership mentality with demonstrated end-to-end delivery across globally dispersed teams.
- Familiarity with enterprise automation frameworks and/or a programming language (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation) is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP (configuration, operations, troubleshooting, optimization) is a plus.

- Experience with VMware Solution (AVS), Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO), and cloud marketplace deployment models.
- Hands-on integration with Azure OneLake, Google Gemini, and cloud AI/analytics services backed by object/S3 on ONTAP.
- Background in creating field-facing tools (estimators, sizers, onboarding/licensing automation) and standardized reference architectures.
- Experience designing for stringent security and sovereignty requirements (contractual, legal, geopolitical, industry frameworks).
- Exposure to regulated/sovereign environments (e.g., Azure GovCloud, Google Assured Workloads) and compliance programs.
