Client Executive 2
Job Summary
NetApp is seeking a high-performing Client Executive to support U.S. Public Sector Intelligence Community (IC) accounts. This role is responsible for driving new business growth and expanding NetApp’s footprint within classified environments.
The ideal candidate is a proactive federal sales professional with a strong hunter mindset, deep familiarity with IC procurement cycles, and experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder classified organizations. This individual will develop and execute account strategies across named IC accounts, penetrate white space programs, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver secure, mission-aligned storage and cloud solutions.
Required Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI clearance (must be maintained)
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in complex federal environments and specifically in the Intelligence Community
• Experience navigating classified procurement processes and multi-year capture cycles
• Strong executive presence with the ability to engage senior government stakeholders
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentations and proposal development
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience selling against enterprise infrastructure vendors
• Familiarity with cloud, storage, and hybrid infrastructure solutions
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute strategic account plans across named Intelligence Community accounts
• Identify and generate net-new pipeline within white space programs
• Expand footprint within existing classified environments
• Lead customer engagements from discovery through proposal and close
• Collaborate closely with Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Cloud, and partner teams
• Engage with federal systems integrators to drive joint pipeline and capture efforts
• Deliver formal presentations and business cases aligned to mission outcomes
• Consistently meet or exceed assigned quota
What Success Looks Like in Year One
• Establish trusted advisor relationships across assigned Intelligence Community accounts
• Build measurable pipeline in new and existing programs
• Close competitive displacement opportunities
• Successfully navigate complex capture cycles
• Achieve or exceed annual revenue targets
Why This Role is Unique
This is not a transactional sales role. Success requires strategic account penetration, disciplined capture management, and the ability to operate effectively in classified, mission-critical environments. The right candidate will bring both federal sales rigor and a hunter mentality to drive meaningful growth within the Intelligence Community.
