Director, Product Mgmt
Job Summary
We’re looking for a strategic, commercially minded leader to drive marketplace strategy, pricing, and monetization across our cloud storage & services portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of product, finance, operations, and go-to-market, and is responsible for translating market opportunities into business cases, pricing models, and marketplace motions that scale revenue. You’ll lead a cross-functional team and partner closely with engineering, product, sales, and finance leadership to shape how our cloud offerings are packaged, priced, and brought to market.
This is a high-visibility role for someone who can move fluidly between executive-level strategy and the operational rigor required to execute.
Responsibilities
Pricing & Monetization Strategy
- Own pricing and packaging strategy across the cloud storage & services portfolio, including consumption-based and committed-use models.
- Build and defend business cases for new pricing constructs, product bundles, and monetization initiatives, grounded in unit economics and margin analysis.
- Develop frameworks to evaluate pricing trade-offs across customer segments, channels, and product lines.
Marketplace Product & Scale
- Define and execute the multi-cloud marketplace strategy across hyperscaler ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP, and emerging platforms).
- Drive marketplace GTM motions, balancing product-led growth and seller-assisted approaches to accelerate topline growth.
- Identify and operationalize the levers that scale marketplace revenue: listing strategy, co-sell programs, private offers, and channel incentives.
Business Strategy & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with product and engineering leadership to align monetization strategy with the product roadmap.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that require alignment across finance, sales, product, and operations.
- Translate complex market and competitive dynamics into clear strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing team spanning pricing, strategy, and marketplace operations.
Job Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in product management, pricing, monetization, corporate strategy, or a related discipline
- Deep understanding of cloud business models, ideally including cloud storage or infrastructure, and consumption-based monetization.
- Demonstrated ability to build rigorous business cases and financial models that drive executive decisions.
- Experience with hyperscaler marketplaces and cloud GTM motions strongly preferred.
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills, with a track record of influencing across product, finance, and sales organizations.
- Strong financial acumen; CFA, MBA, or equivalent analytical background a plus.
- Excellent executive communication skills, comfortable presenting to and influencing senior leadership.
Education
- MBA or advanced degree in CS/Engineering (helpful, not a substitute for demonstrated technical depth).
All internal movements within the Product Group via requisition will be lateral, offering valuable growth opportunities to extend your skills in a new area. Opportunities for a promotion will be reviewed in the normal course of business, aligned with our promotion process.
