Job Summary

Location: This role is located in either Seattle or San Jose with a preference for Seattle.

NetApp is seeking a highly technically skilled and force multiplier Vice President of Product for Cloud Storage. You have an opportunity to define and drive the strategy and growth of our first party storage service in Microsoft Azure. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of owning large, complex product portfolios, driving business outcomes at scale, and partnering with any of the Hyperscalers to align strategy and deliver market-leading solutions as an external ISV leader into the cloud. They will have deep knowledge and experience in high scale cloud infrastructure services, cloud architecture, and enterprise workloads as the overall product leader for Azure NetApp Files.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and guidance to the organization within our cloud storage division with a focus on Microsoft Azure Platform.
• Envision and execute plans for business growth and customer focused products which often might be built by multiple teams in multiple organizations. Drive outcomes that have a bottom-line impact and/or yield a competitive advantage for the business.
• Partner with Microsoft to drive product and business strategy of Cloud Services, including tight integration with the field and sales organization.
• Lead storage innovation in partnership with the hyperscalers, adopting newest cloud capabilities/options and building optimize storage and workloads offerings.
• Owns prioritization of product portfolio and driving clarity across the company on the rationale behind prioritization. Defines the 2+ year strategic vision and long-term roadmap.
• Drives strategic industry communications including analyst relations and press briefings. This role will present multiple opportunities to be a speaker at national or international external events. 
• Drives communication strategy with product marketing and PR for major launches of existing or new product offerings.
• Build and manage a high-performing product team and deliver successful products into the cloud.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, other product management teams, sales, and marketing to ensure a cohesive approach to delivering cloud storage on GCP.
• Collaborate with executive-level stakeholders, including the CEO staff, technical leaders at Microsoft Azure, and top customers to ensure alignment and integration with our broader product portfolio.
• Help teams be excellent and flawless in execution. Be relentless, have grit, be disciplined. Also build organization which moves at cloud speed and yet have the patience to build truly great things.

Key Qualifications

  • 15+ years of technical product management experience with 10+ years leading enterprise or platform PM teams
  • Experience building products with high scale and as cloud native services
  • Proficiency in building and operating cloud services PnL
  •  Experience in leading a complex large organization and driving revenue and market share growth.
  • Strong customer discovery background with the ability to translate ambiguity into clarity
  • Possess a decent understanding of Microsoft Azure services or any other Hyperscalers.
  • Experience in storage technologies is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to dive deep, strong ownership and sense of urgency to drive innovation to delight customers
  • Genuinely a servant leader. You have authentic leadership that arises not from exercise of power or self-interested actions but from a fundamental desire to first help, coach, mentor others and make them great.
  • Up to date with the latest advancements and trends in Hyperscalers as well as in the field of AI and ability to leaverage that knowledge to drive innovation and deliver best-in-class solutions.

Education

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field
• Master’s in business administration preferred but not mandatory
