Job Requirements

Oversee all production activities and manufacturing processes for NetApp. Manage the development, maintenance and continual improvement of effective manufacturing processes, engineering services, procedures, machinery, and tooling to maximize manufacturing quality and safety and reduce costs. Lead the organization's manufacturing engineers and product design support personnel. Provide solutions to manufacturing problems and deficiencies. Troubleshoot technically challenging production problems and implement business process modeling to identify potential improvements. Manage process performance data to identify and determine manufacturing process improvements to enhance manufacturing operations and yield, runtime, quality and safety, and reduce manufacturing costs. Apply knowledge of the requirements and application of ISO 9001 standards for quality control and management. Deploy and manage quality management programs across the organization to meet ISO 9001 requirements. Apply knowledge of procedures and tools for production scheduling and control and daily manufacturing processes to assure quality deliverables. Develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges. Take managerial responsibility for assignments, decisions, and results. Determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. Implement process management to automate and improve business processes. Form and manage effective teams. Requires up to 10% travel around U.S., Asia, and Mexico for team building, manufacturing audits, and investigating quality issues.

Education

The position requires a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, engineering, or a related technical field and three years of experience in the job offered or in working with manufacturing processes. All stated experience must include engineering services; manufacturing operations; business process modeling; ISO 9001; production scheduling and control; and process management. Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time domestically and internationally.
We are offering a salary of $154,336 to $227,000 per year.
