Director, Sales Operations
Job Summary
The Sales Operations role focuses on strategic planning, performance analysis, process improvement, team management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive sales growth and operational excellence.
The Sales Operations role involves:
Sales Strategy and Process
- Business partner to the Area Sales VP, driving the business, challenging decisions and thought leader on how to deliver non-linear growth.
- Lead, define, and continuously improve sales specific reporting strategies and processes, and develop the associated sales reports and dashboards necessary for executive business review meetings (QBRs etc.)
Sales Effectiveness
- Develop and implement sales operations strategies to increase efficiency and drive sales growth.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends, make recommendations, and implement action plans to address areas for improvement.
Sales Productivity
- Establish a management framework utilizing forecast, pipeline, win/loss and other sales analytics KPI’s to review, monitor, and develop specific course correction actions to improve forecast predictability, long term pipeline visibility & coverage, deal velocity and win rate.
- Collaborate with the business leadership and sales leadership to performance measurements aligned with the organization's financial obligations and strategic plan.
Team management
- Lead, mentor, inspire, and empower the sales operations team to excel in their roles. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities across the team, enabling them to reach their full potential.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Work closely with global and regional sales leadership on goals, objectives and KPI definition and reporting
- Work closely with business analytics team to ensure the implementation of reporting and dashboard for critical sales metrics.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will be a broadly qualified and experienced leader with extensive leadership experience in Revenue Operations. Experience in the scale and sophistication of a large global business, combined with a background in a growth-oriented, technology-enabled business will be critical.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Revenue Operations leadership
- Extensive knowledge of sales process and GTM execution in a B2B organisation
- In-depth knowledge of typical sales tech stack (CRM, CPQ, pipeline management, sales productivity, etc.) and typical Microsoft tools (Office, PowerBI etc.)
- 5+ years of people management experience with proven ability to effectively work with global cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- You have an enthusiastic “roll up your sleeves” mentality.
- You work well under pressure, with a high degree of adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Education
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales operations leadership
• 3+ years of people management experience with proven ability to effectively work with global cross-functional teams.
